Ladak pika (Ochotona ladacensis) sitting on a granite stone. It is a small mammal living on high mountain meadows. It belongs to the Lagomorpha order, so it is related to hares and rabbits rather than rodents. The species has been categorized as the Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. Photographed in May, in the upper part of the Markha Valley, near Nyimaling. Zanskar Mountains, Ladakh, India.
