Description
Ama Dablam seen from the upper part of the Pangboche village, a bit off the main trekking route to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal. There are stones of a mani wall in the foreground, the Buddhist, religious structure encountered in many places along pathways in regions where the Tibetan Buddhism is the dominant religion of the locals, as it is with the Sherpa people. You can clearly see inscriptions on the stones in this picture. It is the Tibetan script, and it is the "Om mani padme hum" mantra written on the stones. Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nepal.
