Das Schiffshebewerk Henrichenburg in Waltrop wurde am 11. August 1899 von Kaiser Wilhelm II. eingeweiht und war bis 1970 in Betrieb. Heute ist es ein Standort des LWL (Landschaftsverband Westfalen Lippe) Industriemuseums, an dem es ein in Europa einzigartiges Ensemble der Hebewerkstechnik zu bestaunen gibt. Das Schiffshebewerk gehoehrt zu den Ankerpunkten der Route Industriekultur im Ruhrgebiet sowie der Europaeischen Route der Industriekultur ERIH.
