Es ist ein kalter Sommertag. Obwohl es mitten im Juli ist, herrschen Außentemperaturen von nur elf bis vierzehn Grad Celsius. Tagelanger Regen hat den kleinen Parkteich mit viel frischen Regenwasser aufgefüllt. Die für einen Sommer niedrigen Temperaturen haben die Frösche träge gemacht und ihre Fluchtdistanz scheint sich reduziert zu haben. Die Teichfrösche sind eine Kreuzung ( auch Hybridform genannt ) zwischen dem kleinen Wasserfrosch und dem Seefrosch. Die lateinischen Namen des Teichfrosches sind: Pelophylax esculentus oder Rana esculenta It is a cold summer day.
