Description
Mountains of the Mahalangur Himal seen from a distant place above the Ama Dablam Base Camp. Visible in the centre, Gyachung Kang is the highest mountain below 8000 m. On the left-hand side is the Hillary Peak named a few years ago to honour Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to stand atop of Mount Everest, together with Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. The nearest to us is Lobuche East, a relatively popular so-called trekking peak. Sagarmatha National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Everest Region, Himalayas. Solukhumbu, Nepal. Photo with peak labels.
