Dieses höchst eindrucksvolle Naturschauspiel liegt im Bundesstaat Chiapas im süden Mexikos. Unten in der tausend Meter tiefen Schlucht windet sich der Rio Grijalva(Rio Grande de Chiapa). Hier sollen im Jahr 1528 die Chipaneken vor den herandrängenden Spaniern in den Tod gesprungen sein. Die Aufnahme ist aus 4 Hochkantdias zusammengesetzt.
