Im Portal der Industriekultur in der ehemaligen Kohlenwaesche der Zeche Zollverein in Essen werden an multimedialen Stationen Informationen ueber die Route der Industriekultur im Ruhrgebiet geboten. Den Besucher erwarten hier im ehemaligen Rundeindicker 1 verschiedene Ausstellungen und Veranstaltungen. Im Rundeindicker 2 laeuft der Film RUHR 360 Grad. Seit Dezember 2001 gehoeren die Kokerei und die Zeche Zollverein zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO. Ausserdem ist Zollverein ein Ankerpunkt mit Besucherzentrum nicht nur fuer die nationale Route der Industriekultur im Ruhrgebiet, sondern auch fuer die Europaeische Route der Industriekultur ERIH.
