Die Donau versickert zwischen Immendingen und Möhringen im Sommer regelmäßig vollständig im Karstigen Höhlensystem unter der Erde und tritt dann als Quelle der Radolfzeller Aach ca. 12 km weiter unten wieder an die Oberfläche. Der Aachtopf liegt was die Schüttmenge angeht an 1. Stelle in Deutschland und gilt somit als die mächtigste Quelle neben dem Blautopf.
