Teatro Romano di Trieste (auch Teatro Tergestino) ist die Ruine des römischen Theaters in der Stadt Triest. Die halbkreisförmige Zuschauertribüne (cavea) mit den steinernen Sitzreihen ist durch Treppen in vier keilförmige Sektoren (cunei) unterteilt und bot Platz für 6.000 Personen. Ursprünglich befand sich das Theater außerhalb der Stadtmauer, am Meeresufer. Aufgrund der zunehmenden Versandung des Hafens und der Ausdehnung der Stadt auf dem so gewonnenen Boden befinden sich die Ruinen des Theaters heute im Zentrum der Stadt. The semi-circular auditorium (cavea) with the rows of seats of stone is divided by stairways into four wedge-shaped sectors (cunei). It had room for 6000 people. Originally, the theater was outside the city walls, on the sea shore. Due to the silting of the harbor and the expansion of the city are the ruins of the theater today in the city center.
