Blüten des Roten Fingerhuts (Digitalis purpurea). Der Rote Fingerhut ist eine der giftigsten Pflanzen unserer Flora. In geringer Dosierung wird er aber auch als Heilpflanze gegen Herzschwäche eingesetzt. Heute werden meist die aus der Pflanze isolierten Glykoside verwendet. Flowering Common Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea). Foxglove is poisonous but can also be used as a medical herb against heart failure.
