Description

Die Pauluskirche ist die namensgebende Kirche des Stadtteils Paulusviertel in Halle. Sie steht auf dem ehemaligen Hasenberg und liegt im Schnittpunkt der radialen Straßen des Viertels. Sie wurde zwischen 1900 und 1903 im Stil der norddeutschen Backsteingotik erbaut. Die Einweihung erfolgte am 6. September 1903 im Beisein der deutschen Kaiserin. Es wurde damit für das in der Gründerzeit entstandene Wohngebiet eine neue Kirchengemeinde geschaffen.
