Im Juni 2010 wurde durch das Anschuetten von 1.500 Tonnen Sand das bestehende Strandbad Waldenburger Bucht zu einem 7000 Quadratmeter grossen Beach Club umgebaut. Dieser ist der groesste Deutschlands und verfuegt ueber zwei Beach Volleyball Felder, Gastronomie und Kinderanimation. Der Biggesee, auch Biggetalsperre, ist ein 8,76 Quadratkilometer grosser Stausee im Kreis Olpe in Suedwestfalen. Der Biggesee, dessen Staudamm von 1956 bis 1965 entstand, dient der Regulierung von Bigge, Lenne und Ruhr sowie der Wasserversorgung unter anderem des Ruhrgebiets. Der Biggesee ist ein touristisch sehr beliebtes Ziel. Neben der Moeglichkeit des Wassersports in Form von Schwimmen, Segeln, Surfen, Rudern, Paddeln, Angeln und Tauchen auf beziehungsweise im Biggesee kann man auch Schiffstouren unternehmen. Es verkehren von April bis Ende Oktober zwei Schiffe, die MS Bigge und die MS Westfalen, der Personenschifffahrt Biggesee. Eine Rundfahrt dauert ungefaehr zwei Stunden.
