Description

Die Dechenhoehle im noerdlichen Sauerland in Iserlohn ist eine der meistbesuchten Schauhoehlen Deutschlands. Fuer Besucher ausgebaut sind 360 von 870 Metern der Hoehle, beginnend an der Stelle, wo 1868 die Hoehle von zwei Eisenbahnarbeitern entdeckt wurde. Den Arbeitern fiel ein Hammer in einen Felsspalt, der sich bei der Suche nach diesem Werkzeug als Zugang zu einer Tropfsteinhoehle entpuppte. Neben den normalen Schaufuehrungen finden in der Hoehle auch Konzerte und Musikfuehrungen statt.
