Der Fluß Tuul durchfließt die südlichen Randbezirke der mongolischen Hauptstadt Ulaanbaatar. Er mündet in den Orchon, der den Baikalsee fließt. Der Fluß ist heute durch Abwässer aus Kläranlagen und Ableitungen aus dem Bergbau stark belastet. Das Foto entstand im September 1977. - The Tuul river flows through the southern periphery of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. It flows into the Orkhon river, which flows into Lake Baikal. Today, the river is heavily polluted by wastewater from sewage treatment plants and mining discharges. The photo was taken in September 1977.
