Als Zeugnis einer vergangenen Epoche erhebt sich das Denkmal für Kaiser Wilhelm I. an der Porta Westfalica, dem Durchbruchstal der Weser zur Norddeutschen Tiefebene hin. Das Denkmal ließ die Provinz Westfalen 1892-1896 nach einem Entwurf des Berliner Architekten Bruno Schmitz errichten. Das Standbild schuf der Bildhauer Kaspar von Zumbusch. - The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial at the Porta Westfalica in Germany is a testimony of a past epoch. The memorial was built from 1892 to 1896 by the architect Bruno Schmitz. The statue was created by the sculptor Kaspar von Zumbusch.
