Eine allzu grosse Macht stuerzt durch ihre eigene Masse. Dieses Zitat von Martin Luther ziert die 7,50 Meter hohe, formal labil wirkende Skulptur Der Krummstab von Heinrich Brummack. Der Krummstab zaehlt zu den bischoeflichen Insignien der roemisch katholischen Kirche. Fuer die Errichtung der Skulptur, die eine weithin sichtbare Landmarke auf dem Weg zwischen Schmallenberg und Bad Berleburg bildet, wurden 2613 Kilogramm Aluminium verarbeitet. Zwischen Bad Berleburg im Kreis Siegen Wittgenstein und Schmallenberg im Hochsauerland fuehrt der in den Jahren 2000 bis 2010 entstandene WaldSkulpturenWeg. Auf den Rothaarsteig Zugangswegen der beiden Staedte ueberwindet er mit knapp 23 Kilometern den Rothaarkamm, auf dem er bei Kuehhude auch den Rothaarsteig kreuzt. Internationnal bekannte Kuenstler haben mit ihren 11 Kunstwerken am Wegesrand des WaldSkulpturenWegs einen zumindest in Deutschland einmaligen Kunstwanderweg geschaffen.
