Kuechenschellen, Kuhschellen (Pulsatilla vulgaris, syn. Anemone pulsatilla) In allen Bestandteilen ist die Pflanze sehr giftig. Die Pflanze enthaelt Saponine, Harze, Gerbstoffe sowie Protoanemonin. Protoanemonin ist ein Reizmittel für Haut und Schleimhaeute, beim Umgang mit der Pflanze kann es zu Entzuendungen, Blasenbildung und Veraetzungen der betroffenen Hautstellen kommen. Beim Verzehr der Pflanze kann es zu Magen- und Darmbeschwerden, Nierenentzuendungen und Laehmungen des Zentralnervensystems kommen. Unsere Vorfahren gaben der Pflanze die Bezeichnung Teufelsbart oder Boxbart. Die Pflanze steht unter Naturschutz.
