Description

Die Nutzung der Turmetagen des Foerderturms des Schachtes 2 der Zeche Nordstern ist sowohl oeffentlich, museal als auch privatwirtschaftlich. Der Turm bildet einen von sieben so genannten Hochpunkten im Revier. Eine 18 Meter hohe Herkules Skulptur von Markus Luepertz macht das Bauwerk weithin sichtbar. Sie wurde bereits aus Anlass des Finales des Kulturhauptstadtjahres am 18. Dezember 2010 offiziell eingeweiht.
