Description

Die Firma J.D. Neuhaus stellt bereits seit 1745 Hebezeuge her. Die bis heute als Familienunternehmen gefuehrte Firma hat ihre historischen Wurzeln nicht vergessen. 1977 begann Johann Diederich Neuhaus, 6. Generation, einen von ihm gefassten Plan zu verwirklichen: den Bau eines Hebezeug Museums. Die in Firmenbesitz befindliche Sammlung historischer Hebezeuge wurde durch viele Originalstuecke branchenverwandter Firmen ergaenzt. Es folgte der Wiederaufbau eines Windenschmiedekottens von 1745 mit einer funktionstuechtigen historischen Einrichtung aus der Zeit um 1900. In der 1985 nach der Vorlage des einzigen noch existierenden Fotos nachgebauten Windenfabrik J.D. Neuhaus sind 12 alte Maschinen aufgestellt, die ueber einen gemeinsamen Transmissionsantrieb in Gang gesetzt werden koennen. Das Hebzeug Museum gehoert zur Themenroute 11 Fruehe Industrialisierung der Route Industriekultur im Ruhrgebiet.
