Die ThyssenKrupp AG ist ein deutsches Industrieunternehmen und Deutschlands groesstes Stahl- und Ruestungsunternehmen. Der Konzern entstand 1999 aus der Fusion der Friedrich Krupp AG Hoesch-Krupp mit der Thyssen AG. Im Juni 2010 wurde der Verwaltungssitz von Duesseldorf nach Essen verlegt. Damit zieht die Konzernzentrale zum Ort der Wurzeln der Krupp-Dynastie zurueck, wo sich heute in Essen-Altendorf der Krupp-Guertel erstreckt. Auf diesem urspruenglichen Industriearal, das nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg stark zerstoert war und weitenteils Brachland blieb, befindet sich noch heute das Stammhaus Krupp.
