Description

Der Zoo Duisburg ist ein zoologischer Garten, der unter anderem bekannt ist fuer das Delfinarium und seit 1994 fuer seine Koala-Aufzucht. Andere Zuchterfolge sind bei Fossas und Pinselohrschweinen zu verzeichnen. Der Zoo befindet sich im noerdlichsten Teil des Duisburger Stadtwalds an der Grenze zu Muelheim an der Ruhr und tangiert den noerdlichen Campus der Uni-Duisburg. Die A 3 teilt den Zoo in einen westlichen und einen oestlichen Teil, die ueber eine begruente Landschaftsbruecke verbunden sind. Die Autobahn ist für den Besucher kaum sichtbar. Der Zoo hat eine Flaeche von ca. 15,5 Hektar.
