Description
Das Rathaus wurde zwischen 1410 und 1474 errichtet. Es ist ein typischer Renaissance-Bau. An dem wappengeschmückten Erker von 1578, ist oben der Gaffkopf vom Ritter Kunz von Kauffungen darstellt, der 1455 enthauptet wurde. Das Ensemble steht unter Denkmalschutz, weil es zu den wertvollsten Profanbauten der historischen Freiberger Altstadt gehört.
