Die im Wesentlichen im 14. Jahrhundert in gotischen Formen erbaute Basilika war die Kathedrale des 1801 aufgehobenen Bistums Tréguier und gehört seitdem zum Bistum Saint-Brieuc. 1947 erhielt sie den Rang einer Basilica minor
