Câlnic Dorf ist bekannt für seine Burg, die auf der UNESCO-Liste der Welterbestätten ist bekannt. Câlnic Zitadelle, erstmals im Jahre 1269 erwähnt, ist sehr gut erhalten. Erbaut als nobler Wohnsitz, wurde es 1430 von den örtlichen Bauern gekauft und befestigt.
