Description

Kandelaber auf dem Platz vor der Alten Oper in Frankfurt am Main. Die Alte Oper am Opernplatz in Frankfurt am Main ist ein Konzert- und Veranstaltungshaus. Sie wurde 1873 bis 1880 als Opernhaus der Städtischen Bühnen erbaut und bei einem Luftangriff 1944 zerstört. Während die Oper Frankfurt 1951 eine neue Spielstätte am Theaterplatz erhielt, blieb das Opernhaus noch lange Ruine. Erst 1976 begann der Wieder-aufbau, der 1981 abgeschlossen war.
