Der Struwwelpeter-Brunnen an der Hauptwache in Frankfurt wurde von der Künstlerin Franziska Lenz-Gerharz 1985 in Bronze geschaffen. Der Erfinder der Struwwelpeter Geschichten war Heinrich Hoffmann, der in dieser Stadt 1809 zur Welt kam. Er war ein deutscher Psychiater, Lyriker und Kinderbuchautor und Verfasser der Struwwelpeter Geschichten, die eine pädagogisch-moralische Geschichtensammlung für Kinder waren. Am 20. September 1894 verstarb er in Frankfurt.The Struwwelpeter fountain at the Hauptwache in Frankfurt was created in 1985 by the artist Franziska Lenz-Gerharz in bronze. The inventor of the Struwwelpeter stories was Heinrich Hoffmann, who was born in this city in 1809. He was a German psychiatrist, poet and children’s author and author of the Struwwelpeter stories, which were a pedagogical-moral collection of stories for children. He died in Frankfurt on 20 September 1894.
