Description
The Mieu Temple. Royal City (palace) in Hue. Build by the rulers of the Nguyen dynasty in the 19th century, the Royal City is a palace complex of 604 by 622 meters and one of the many historical sights of Hue. Model for the Royal City was the Forbidden City in Beijing. The complex contains several halls, pavillons and temples. Heavily destroyed during the Vietnam War the reconstruction is still in progress. UNSECO world cultural heritage.
