Das 1983 eroeffnete Museumszentrum Quadrat ist eine Hommage an den beruehmten Sohn der Stadt, den Bauhauskuenstler Josef Albers. Es besteht aus einem Ensemble von drei quadratischen Pavillons in einer Parklandschaft. Das Josef Albers Museum präsentiert das Lebenswerk des Malers. Fast immer waren es Quadrate, in denen Albers die „interaction of colour" stets neu auslotete.
