Description
The 12th Century Tyrol Castle is bound up with the history of Tyrol. Initially referring to the castle inhabited by the Counts of Tirol, the name was extended to the lands under their dominion. Numerous historical artifacts are preserved in Tyrol Castle, including works dating to the Romanesque era. Other notable features include marble doorways, early Gothic frescoes, a Gothic altar, and the oldest Tyrolean stained-glass windows in existence.
