Description

Der Kindelsberg ist ein 618,1 Meter ueber Normal Null hoher Berg des Rothaargebirges in Kreuztal im nordrhein westfaelischen Kreis Siegen Wittgenstein. Der von weitem sichtbare Berg gilt als Wahrzeichen von Kreuztal und ist nach dem Hohen Wald der zweithoechste des Stadtgebiets. Auf seinem Gipfel, der von einer Wallanlage umgeben ist, steht der 22 Meter hohe Kindelsbergturm als von 1905 bis 1907 errichteter Aussichtsturm; unweit davon steht ein Sendeturm. Der Berg ist seit dem 19. Jahrhundert beliebtes Wander- und Ausflugsziel mit oft eindrucksvoller Fernsicht vom Turm.
