Der Sandthymian (Thymus serpyllum) ist ein immergrüner, bodenbedeckender Halbstrauch. Er kommt in trockenen Kieferwäldern vor oder auf Sandtrockenrasen, so wie hier im Süden der Nordseeinsel Sylt. - Breckland Thyme (Thymus serpyllum) is native to most of Europe and North Africa. It is a low sub-shrub, and growing on dry, sandy soils like here in the dunes of the German island of Sylt.
