Description

Das Deutsche Hoehlenmuseum in Iserlohn ist das groesste deutsche Museum fuer Hoehlenkunde. Es ist in einem ehemaligen Bahnhof der Bahnstrecke Letmathe - Froendenberg untergebracht. Das im Juni 2006 eroeffnete Museum versucht auf 600 Quadratmeter Flaeche auf moderne Art alles zum Thema Hoehle zu zeigen und zu erklaeren. Neben den ueblichen Vitrinen mit Steinen und Knochen sind die lebensgrossen Nachbildungen eines Hoehlenloewen und eines Hoehlenbaeren zu sehen. Das Museumsgebaeude dient als Portal zur Dechenhoehle.
