Die Luisenhuette Wocklum, auch Wocklumer Hammer genannt, im Balver Ortsteil Wocklum ist die aelteste mit vollstaendiger Einrichtung erhaltene Hochofenanlage Deutschlands. Die Luisenhuette ist seit 1950 technisches Kulturdenkmal und wurde 2003 als Denkmal von nationaler kultureller Bedeutung eingestuft. In den Jahren 2004 bis 2006 wurde die Luisenhuette mit einem finanziellen Aufwand von etwa 2 Millionen Euro saniert. Die Wiedereroeffnung mit neuem musealen Konzept fand am 1. Mai 2006 unter grossem oeffentlichen Interesse statt. Im Gebaeude des ehemaligen Wocklumer Stabhammers befindet sich seit Mai 2006 das Museum fuer Vor- und Fruehgeschichte der Stadt Balve.
