Der Urweltmammutbaum (Metasequoia glyptostroboides), auch Chinesisches Rotholz oder Wassertanne genannt, gilt als lebendes Fossil. Er wurde 1941 in einer unzugänglichen Bergregion in China entdeckt und war zuvor nur durch Fossilienfunde bekannt. Diese Aufnahme entstand im Botanischen Volkspark in Berlin-Pankow im Mai 2009.
