Icebergs in Jökulsárlón. Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon is a lagoon formed in front of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier in South-East Iceland. Portions of the glacier break off its leading edge forming icebergs that float in the lagoon. Breiðamerkurjökull (Breidamerkurjokull) is one of the outlet glaciers (glacier tongues) of the Vatnajökull ice cap and this is the glacier that retreats at the fastest pace in Iceland. Vatnajökull National Park (the largest national park in Europe), Austurland (Eastern Iceland).
