Der Hectordelphin ist endemisch in Neuseeland und vor allem durch Fischernetze bedroht, in denen er oft gefangen wird. Er ist ausserdem der kleinste aller im Meer lebenden Delphine. Porpoise Bay, Catlins, Suedinsel, Neuseeland, Hector's Dolphin, Cephalorhynchus hectori, swimming in the ocean off the Catlins coast. This dolphin is endemic to New Zealand and threatened by fishing nets in which they often get caught. It is also the smallest of all dophins living in seawater.
