Das Dorf Câlnic ist für seine Burg bekannt, die auf der UNESCO-Liste des Weltkulturerbes steht. Câlnic Zitadelle, erstmals 1269 erwähnt, ist sehr gut erhalten. Erbaut als Adelsresidenz, wurde er 1430 von Bauern aus der Region gekauft und befestigt.
