Die reifen, leuchtend roten Fürchte werden gern von Vögeln und kleineren Säugetieren gefressen. - The European rowan, lat. Sorbus aucuparia, is planted also as street tree, like here at a country road in Mecklenburg in Germany. The ripe, bright red berries are eaten gladly by birds and smaller mammals.
