Gedenken an die Todesopfer. Bei dem Anschlag auf den Berliner Weihnachtsmarkt an der Gedächtniskirche erschoss der islamistische Attentäter Anis Amri am 19. Dezember 2016 den polnischen Speditionsfahrer eines Sattelzugs, raubte den Lkw und steuerte ihn gegen 20 Uhr in eine Menschenmenge auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt an der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, der auf dem Breitscheidplatz im Berliner Ortsteil Charlottenburg stattfand. Durch die Kollision mit dem Lkw starben elf Besucher des Weihnachtsmarktes und weitere 55 Besucher wurden verletzt, einige davon lebensgefährlich. Das zwölfte Todesopfer war der Speditionsfahrer des Lkw, der im Führerhaus starb. Memory of the dead. At the attack on the Christmas market in Berlin at the Gedächtniskirche, the Islamist assassin Anis Amri shot down the Polish forwarder of a semitrailer on December 19, 2016, robbed the truck and drove him into a crowd at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church around 8 pm which took place on the Breitscheidplatz in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg. The collision with the truck killed eleven visitors to the Christmas market and another 55 visitors were injured, some of them life-threatening. The twelfth fatality was the haulage driver of the truck, who died in the cab.
