Berlin, Germany - April 16, 2009: ruins of Berlin Wall (in German, Berliner Mauer) in Potsdam Square (Potsdamer Platz) with graffiti art. This separation barrier was built in 1961 by East Germany government to separate Berlin East from Berlin West and prevent emigration until 1989 when it was demolished. this symbolic fact and the abandon of West Germany by Soviet troops led to Germany reunification.
