Der Heldbock oder Große Eichenbock (Cerambyx cerdo) gehört zu den vom Aussterben bedrohten Arten und ist streng geschützt. Er besiedelt alte mächtige Eichen und bohrt daumendicke Löcher. Ein kleines Bestand findet sich im Schloßpark in Berlin-Pankow. - The Great Capricorn Beetle (Cerambyx cerdo) is threatened with extinction and is on the Red List of Threatened Species. Its habitat are age-old oaks. The larvas eat wormholes as thick as a thumb. A small population of the beetle is preserved in the castle park in Berlin-Pankow.
