06.09.2011 First really good APC sensored Nikon (4 of 5 points) from sumicronFirst really good affordable Nikon with the smaller sensor. Below iso 400, the files are beautiful and can stand up to newer cameras. Rugged, good size and just the right heft. Love that huge top lcd panel. Some of the menu buttons could be more logical.

Absolutely the very best of all the cameras I have ever owned. So many features that I am STILL learning new ways to use it after having owned it for years. Even when I get a newer camera, I will be keeping my D200.

Been using it now for 3 years and it's a good beast of burden. Nice files ( avoid anything over ISO 400 ) if you stay away from high ISO. I've gotten it all wet without a problem.
